Win a year's supply of ROYAL CANIN^® pet food - prize draw terms and conditions

By purchasing a Southern Cross Pet Insurance (SCPI) PetCare or AcciPet policy during the Promotional Period you are automatically entered into the SCPI ‘Win a year’s supply of ROYAL CANIN^® premium pet food’ prize draw (“Prize Draw”) and your Eligible Entry constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

1. The promotional period is 1 May 2024 to 30 June 2024 (“Promotional Period”).
2. To enter the Prize Draw you must apply and be accepted for a SCPI PetCare or AcciPet policy during the Promotional Period, with a policy start date prior to 9 July 2024 (“Eligible Entry”). FreeCover and renewals of existing policies are not eligible for this Prize Draw.
3. There are five (5) prizes to be won, each prize comprises one (1) years’ supply of ROYAL CANIN pet food for one (1) pet (dog or cat). This excludes veterinary or therapeutic prescription diets. Petdirect is the supplier of the prizes (“Petdirect”) and has valued each prize at between $2,000 and $4,050 (RRP), depending on the type of food and the quantity required to feed the prize winner’s pet for 1 year. Food type and volume will be recommended by the Petdirect team based on feeding requirements (weight, age, breed, lifestyle) of the prize winner’s pet being insured. Each prize winner will not be entitled to receive any cash from SCPI or any other party should there be a difference between the estimated RRP value referred to above and the actual value of the pet food supplied by Petdirect.
4. The Prize Draw will take place on 12 July 2024. Prize winners will be drawn at random from the Eligible Entries and the prize winners will be notified by telephone. If a prize winner is not reasonably able to be contacted within 10 days of the Prize Draw, another winner will be drawn for that prize.
5. The administrator of the Prize Draw is SCPI but the prizes will be supplied by Petdirect as stated above. In order to be sent the prize, each prize winner must create an account with Petdirect.
6. SCPI’s decision is final.
7. To the extent permitted by law SCPI makes no warranty or guarantee in relation to the prizes. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit or exclude any liability under the Consumer Guarantee Act 1993 or any other statutory rights that any prize winner may have in relation to the prizes.
8. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, SCPI (and its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, damage or injury arising in any way in connection with the Prize Draw or acceptance or use of any prize.
9. Each prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and is not redeemable for cash. SCPI may substitute any prize or any portion of a prize with an alternative prize of equivalent value without notice.
10. Staff, contractors or agents of SCPI and other Southern Cross branded businesses and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win the Prize Draw.
11. SCPI may use any personal information collected during the Prize Draw to administer the Prize Draw and for marketing SCPI’s products and services in the future.
12. Personal information collected in relation to the Prize Draw will be held by SCPI, Level 1, Te Kupenga, 155 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010. Subjects of personal information have the right to access and request correction of any personal information held about them in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
