This Vitamin and Mineral Supplement Schedule (Schedule) forms part of your PetCare policy and should be read in conjunction with your policy document. Terms that are in italics, like this have specific meanings as defined in your policy document (or in this Schedule).
About the Southern Cross Pet Insurance Vitamin and Mineral Supplement Schedule (Schedule)
The Schedule sets out the vitamin and mineral supplements covered by your PetCare policy. For a vitamin or mineral supplement to be covered by your policy, it must be listed in 2 below and meet the eligibility criteria set out in 3 below.
What Vitamins and Mineral supplements we cover
The following vitamins and mineral supplements are eligible provided that they prescribed by your vet as part of a qualifying treatment. We will not reimburse you for any vitamins and/or mineral supplements that you purchase without a prescription from your vet.
Reimbursement is subject to any applicable annual benefit limit, excess and co-payment noted in your certificate of insurance and the terms and conditions of your policy:
Vitamin or Mineral Supplement | Purpose |

4cyte | Supports joint conditions in conjunction with prescription pain treatments. Supplement for pain relief. |
Promax | Used in the control of diarrhoea in cats and dogs. |
Samylin | Used to maintain healthy liver function in pets suffering from liver disorders. |
Synoquin | Encourages growth and maintenance of cartilage and joint formation. Supplement for pain relief. |
Important points to note
- The terms and conditions set out in your policy apply to this Schedule (which forms part of your policy).

We can vary this Schedule at any time, including making updates to provide more clarity for you or varying or restricting the eligible vitamin or mineral supplements.
- Where we make a clarification or add eligible vitamin or mineral supplements to this Schedule, we will not contact you directly, but will update this Schedule on our website.
- Where we remove or restrict eligible vitamin or mineral supplements, we will provide you with 30 days’ notice of the change.
- Your annual benefit limit still applies. If you reach your annual benefit limit, we will not reimburse you for any eligible vitamin or mineral supplements claims until the start of your new policy period.
- Your excess and co-payment (as set out on your certificate of insurance ), will still apply to claims for eligible vitamin or mineral supplements.
